What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
Thinking of travelling to sunny South Africa? Make sure you book a cheap flight to Johannesburg. Known as the most modern and prosperous city in the country it boasts a hip and vibrant nightlife and loads of interesting sights. Among the city's high rises and skyscrapers there are many green city parks scattered around. Take a stroll through the Luscious Botanical Gardens in Emmerentia or take a boat ride on Zoo Lake. A nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle. If you are only in town for business and don't have time to travel to any of the national game parks, head over to Lion Park which is only a 45 minutes drive from the city. It may not be as impressive as the real thing, but it's worth your while as there are lions, cheetahs, giraffes and many more wild animals. The hottest tourist attraction in Jo'burg is the Montecasino. This enormous Tuscany themed entertainment complex wouldn't look out of place in Las Vegas. It holds restaurants, bars, shops and of course the casino itself. Before you hit the black jack table, make sure you visit Sasha the fortune teller. She is scarily accurate and will be able to tell you if Lady Luck is on your side. Another must visit is the Nelson Mandela museum. It is a small house where he lived with his first wife Evelyn and holds some interesting paraphernalia. At night time let your hair down in the trendy up and coming Greenside area. Start your evening with dinner at Bite, a hip Asian/Western fusion restaurant that has recently been renovated. Then get your groove on at Gin Bar, a hot and happening place which is especially heaving on Thursday nights. I do hope you like gin, because they didn't give the place that name for nothing.
