What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
The island has a bit of a party reputation, but even if you are not into house music and massive dance clubs, you will be pleasantly surprised by the beauty and serenity of this Balearic island. Look for cheap flights to Ibiza outside of the peak summer season months of July and August and you will find some interesting deals on flights and accommodation. For cheap accommodation try to get your hands on a villa or finca. It will save you some cash if you're travelling in a group and it allows you to soak up Ibizean country life. Do rent a car and drive around the island and discover the many secluded beaches along the way. Try Cala Llena or Cala Nova for the ultimate desert island feeling. If you want a more lively beach scene, check out one of the many chiringuitos or beach bars such as Cafe Del Mar in San Antonio. You've bought the music, now chill out here and enjoy it live, sipping your cocktail while watching the sun set in the Mediterranean. For a real local drink, try out a cocktail with Hierbas Ibencencas. The Ibizean version of Absynthe. If you do want to squeeze in some culture before you had to Pacha, wander around the small streets in the old part of Ibiza town. Look around the hippie market and many boho shops to get a feel of times gone by when Ibiza was a popular destination among hippies.
