What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
The warm waters of the Med await you around the island of Kos in Greece. Book your cheap flight to Kos now and discover some of the best beaches in Europe. Temperatures in summer are up there in the high 30's and in winter it's still warm enough to enjoy some of those much coveted sun rays. Kos Town is the main tourist hub where you'll find all the great restaurants and bars. Head over to barstreet for some authentic Greek nightlife. There is a small number of nightclubs, but you'll find that there are many cosy bars where you can mingle with the locals. Try the Red House Bar where there is live music pretty much every evening. And if you've got the nerve, you can even have a go and show off your musical talents yourself. Every night is open mic night. If culture is more your thing, then you too can eat your heart out on this island. Its history dates back as far as 1100 BC and there are quite a number of ancient remnants as a result. Check out the fort at the entrance of the harbour. It dates back to the 14th century when it was built by the Knights of Saint John of Rhodes. Or head outside of town and wander around the ruins of Asclepeion, a healing temple that was in use in Ancient Greece and Rome. When you stand on top of the steps you can look out over the entire town of Kos. Well worth it. Of course the main reason you booked a cheap flight to Kos is to just veg out on a beach and there are plenty of those here. Spread your towel on the beach at Kardamena. It's about 22 km south of Kos Town and boasts powdery white sand and clear water. There are also quite a few places to eat and drink, so no need to worry about that either. Or try the beach at Thermes. The name kind of gives it away already, but the sea water is heated up by hot springs here. There are many more beaches I could tell you about, but I will leave them for you to discover when you get off your cheap flight to Kos.
