What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
Grab a cheap flight to Tallinn to discover this dynamic city for yourself. One of the must see attractions in Tallinn is the wonderfully preserved Old Town, with its medieval buildings and cobblestone streets. Narrow St. Catherines Passage is lined with workshops and artisans practicing traditional crafts, and is also a good place to pick up some souvenirs. Make your way up to Toompea Hill in the Upper Town for a panoramic view of Tallinn. You will notice some striking contrasts, with skyscrapers soaring up just beyond the medieval walls of the Old Town. The skyscrapers soaring up just outside the old walls provide a striking contrast to the stone buildings inside. Escape from the tourist hordes in the Old Town and have a look at the other sights that Tallinn offers. Head to Kadriorg Palace for a look at the summer residence of Tsar Peter the Great. The candy coloured palace also houses a branch of the Art Museum of Estonia, and has a varied collection of artworks by international artists. Kalamaja is a charming district full of lovely wooden houses, most of which were built in the 1920s and 1930s. Move into the 21st century with a trip to the Rotermann Quarter. The main square here is ringed with many shops and cafes, as well as a number of galleries showcasing work by up and coming Estonian artists.
