Try Panorama tours that leave from Mirabellplatz. Salzburg is the birth place of Mozart so there is really no way around him. There are loads of monuments that were built throughout town to commemorate him. And of course the Mozart chocolate balls can be bought everywhere. You absolutely can't leave town without bringing them back home. You can also visit his actual birthplace and if all that isn't enough Mozart for you, you can visit his house where he lived later on in his life as well. Dinner options galore in Salzburg. Check out the Alter Fuchs. Never mind the name, the food is all Austrian and tastes great. Another good option is the Zum Fidelen Affen which also serves many local dishes and cool German beer.
