What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
Fancy a day trip in the UK or maybe you have found yourself overnighting before a cheap flight from Nottingham. Here are some tips to spend a lovely day in the home town of Robin Hood. According to retail experts the clothing stores are the best in the country after London and Birmingham so make sure you bring some cash to burn. Head for the main shopping areas in town which are Broadmarsh and Victoria Centre. The first is in the South and is outside the latter in the North and rates as one of the top shopping malls in England. For some more upscale shops, make your way to the Bridlesmith Gate area. This is also where the original Paul Smith boutique is located. Hockley Village is where you'll find more boho shops if that is your thing. If you're suffering from shopping overload and need to take a break, have a cuppa and some chocolate at Chocolate Utopia. It really is a chocolate shop but you can actually sit down in their chocolate lounge and rest your feet for a while. Enjoy some of the delectable chocolates they make underneath the shop. You do get a free one with your coffee or tea, but be warned, they are very more-ish. Do take a look in the Market Square area which is the old heart of Nottingham. In winter there is an ice rink and in summer it's a great place for people watching.
