Surf capital of England, this beach town makes for a great beach side getaway or if you are booked on a cheap flight from Newquay, why not have a wander around before you jet off to some other exotic destination? Famed for its great swells this seaside resorts attracts many surfers every year. If you would like to try and master the waves, take a surf lesson at one of the many surf schools. For a chilled out way of learning how to surf, have a look at Surfing is Therapy. They offer luxury accommodation combined with an easy going surf lesson. A sure way to combine relaxation with an active holiday.You don't have to be a surfer to enjoy this town though as there are many other activities you can indulge in. Walk the South East Coast Path for instance or hire a boat and sail along the coast of Cornwall. You can fish, dive or just laze on the beach and catch some rays. Try the many great restaurants in town such as the New Harbour which is supposedly the best restaurant in town. You won't have a problem finding a buzzy bar or pub as Newquay has a great night life. Try Koola bar which is the hottest place in town. For now at least.
