What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
Why leave the UK when there are so many nice places to visit in your own country? Just book a cheap train ticket or hop on a cheap flight to Newcastle for instance. It is the most Northern city in England and a good place to start if you want to go on hiking trips along Hadrian's wall. Or you could chose to stay in town and take advantage of all the great shops on Northumberland street or check out the shops at Eldon Square Shopping Centre which holds a few good department stores such as John Lewis. The city is famous though for its night life and there are plenty of trendy bars in the city centre. Head over to the Bigg Market where most of the bars and clubs are concentrated. Alternatively head over to the Quayside are for more options of drinking holes.
