What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
The Maltese archipelago is a great option for a short getaway in the sun. A cheap flight to Malta is easily booked and the great thing about this Mediterranean island is that everybody speaks English. Malta being the largest of the three islands (the others are Gozo and Comino) it's a good place to start exploring the island group. Malta is chock full of history. Of course you didn't come here just to sightsee. This is the Med after all. Malta's best beaches are Mellieha Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay. Alternatively you could take a boat trip to Gozo and hang out on the beach of Ramla-I Hamra. It's a breathtaking stretch of beach with red sand.
