What you need to know before you book your airfare and tickets
Dubai really is the ultimate destination for shopaholics. It's got the biggest malls with the biggest labels in the world, so if you can't find what you're looking for on Sloane Street, book yourself a cheap flight to Dubai now! When you get off your flight, you will be excused for thinking you have just landed in an exclusive shopping centre, but wait till you get downtown before you start spending your Dirhams. Check out the Burjamen Centre for top end labels or the Deira City Centre if your budget is a bit tighter. For a truly out of this world shopping experience, head over to the themed Ibn Battuta Mall. You can wander through as many as 6 different countries while looking for that perfect pair of shoes. If the Burj al Arab hotel is bit too expensive to stay at, do go to the Skyview Bar on the 27th floor for a cocktail and take in the breathtaking views of the city. From here you can see the ever changing skyline (which consists mainly of cranes at the moment) and the Palm and World Islands. If you did manage to book a cheap flight to Dubai, you will probably be visiting in the summer months when temperatures can go up to 50 degrees Celsius. The beach might be a tad too balmy then, but not to worry. You can cool off at the Wadi Water Park on the Burj al Arab hotel grounds. Or if you're still too hot, strap on some skis and whizz down the indoor ski slopes at Ski Dubai. There are loads more fun attractions waiting for you in this cosmopolitan city, so what are you waiting for?
